The tests also cover grounding and hallucination, so you see where the assistant makes things up as well as where it can be pushed. Why independent matters ## A vendor can test its own product. Someone else has to check. A vendor can test its own product, and good ones do. The vendor also chooses what to test and what to report. We work from the outside, the way a member would, with no access to the vendor’s internals, and we have no commission, referral fee or stake in the result. The result can come back Red. How it works ## Four steps, one report 1 ### You authorize You tell us which assistant to test and give us access. We test only what you authorize. 2 ### We run the tests The full CimAssure test library runs once against your assistant. Every message and reply is kept as evidence. 3 ### An analyst confirms the findings A person reviews each result, and two people approve the statement before it reaches you. 4 ### You receive a report It includes a Board Assurance Statement rated Green, Amber, Red or Not rated, an OWASP Top 10 for LLM Applications coverage report, and a vendor privacy and architecture questionnaire. Red is a result, not a service level. It is not a certification, audit or attestation, and it is not a penetration test of your systems. It is assurance, not a guarantee. A test covers the questions asked on the day it was run, so a later update can change the result. That is why many organizations follow it with continuous testing.
